It calls for SATB choir, solos and string orchestra. Depending on the size of the choir, one need only 10 string player. 2 first violins, 2 second violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, and one bass. This section takes approximately 15 minutes to perform with the readings. It is extremely dissonant with very tight harmonies. Piano is to used only for rehearsal purposes.
