The new edition presented here is based on an issue from the Library of Vienna. Etienne Nicolas Mehul. 1763-1817. lived in Paris and was a popular composer of operas who influenced both the French and the German Romantic period. C. M. von Weber wrote his piano variations op. 28 on the same theme.
