His 2nd string quartet (No.1 is his op.8 of 1889.) Premiered by its dedicatees the Klingler Quartet sometime in (late?) 1912 in Berlin. (The key is given as F major there for whatever reason.)
The scherzo from this quartet was played by the Marianne Kneisel Quartet in Aeolian Hall , 1 February 1927 in their debut concert (according to Lillian Fuchs: First Lady of the Viola, page 14.)
