This unique series features a collection of the most famous pieces from the classical guitar repertoire, and includes music scores, tablature and accompanying video. Great care has been taken to verify the fingerings of both hands in the material. Innovative tablature combines left-hand finger positions with rhythmic notation, allowing the reader to tackle very complex musical repertoire and polyphony. Therefore, this system provides an opportunity for anyone to learn pieces from these great composers, regardless of reading ability.Fernando Sors studies for guitar were made famous by Andres Segovia. While collecting, reviewing and reorganizing educational and concert repertoire for the guitar, Segovia selected and revised twenty of Sors studies for part of his book of etudes. This selection helped consolidate introductory repertoire for learning the guitar, which had been somewhat unorganized prior to Segovias work. The studies in this book are from the pre-Romantic era and lay the groundwork for developing technique and musicianship.
