Stairway to Heaven – Led Zeppelin

Tuning: Standard

Some of the versions here are easy to play, but do not sound right at all.
Others have the correct chords, but are probably too difficult for many
players who are familiar with some basic shapes but are not yet used to
go beyond the first three frets and may have problems playing barre
chords. With this version I tried to go a middle way.

I kept the chords easy to play, but they should still fit the
original. Some may have intimidating names but don't let that discourage
you: if you look at the voicings, you'll notice they are not difficult
because I cut them down so they can mostly be played using only two or
three fingers of the left hand and there are no barre chords at all.

Who shines white light and wants to show

How everything still turns to gold
Am G F G
And if you listen very hard

the tune will come to you at last
Am G Fmaj7 G
When all are one and one is all

As much as I respect the work of Set8 (Tom Teates) his post of this song leaves much to be desired. This one is suited exactly to the demands of my ears and the skill of my fingers. Thank you so much!

Maguri, Kudos to you for making the effort to tab this classic for novices like myself. I'm deriving much pleasure from playing this version which, while simplified, still sounds quite good. Much appreciated!
